What's the difference between the CPO and the CPT?
The material covered in the course is essentially the same – it has to be in order for the course to be accredited and accepted throughout the country. The significant difference is that the CPT course is the only 100% online alternative to taking a CPO course.
I'd like to know more. Can you give me the highlights?
- The course costs $329 and is good for 5 years
- It’s a 16-hour, 100% online course
- You have 30 days (from the first time you log in) to complete
- There are 9 chapters with a quiz at the end of each chapter
- The Final Exam has 50 questions and must be completed in 2 hours. Itâ€™s an open book test.
- You must make a 70% to pass
How long is the course?
What if I fail the final exam?
In the unlikely event that you fail the final exam, you are eligible for ONE (1) retake at no additional charge. If that test is failed, you must repeat the course.
How long does it take for my book to arrive?
The CPT Handbook is mailed to each student within 24 hours of purchase (excluding holidays and weekends). If you don’t receive your book within 5 days of purchasing the course, give us a call at 800-385-0270 or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
How long does it take for me to get my certificate?
Once you have passed the final exam, you are able to print out a temporary certificate that’s good for 15 days. We will send you the permanent certificate, a wallet card, and a patch within 7-10 business days.
Will my state and / or regulatory agency accept the CPT?
In most cases, the answer is yes! We’ve provided the State & Country page on the website so that you can easily find your state and the answer to that question. For your convenience, we have also provided the link to your respective state health department so that you can read the regulations for yourself if you like.
What if my 30-day time limit is about to expire, can I get an extension?
